Brooks Memorial State Park A great park for hiking, biking, or horseback riding. Over 9 miles of trails lead along the Little Klickitat River and up through the Ponderosa and Oregon Pine forests. At the top are open mountain meadows with a panoramic view of Mount Hood. Visitors may see deer, beaver dams, squirrels, spring wildflowers, and a variety of birds. |

It is unique among rail trails. Nowhere else is there a rail trail that starts in one of the nation’s only National Scenic Areas, winds along a nationally designated Wild & Scenic River, and finishes by going through a remote, beautiful tributary canyon. |
